Life is full of choices! Prepare kids by giving them a say at school!
I asked some Year 8's about how they enjoyed reading a set text that they had to study...and some said they had watched the movie instead of reading the book...got me thinking "let's get this as an audio book...." so by me asking them about the format of reading choice I think I effectively empowered them to think about how they like to read and what way might be better for them!!! I allowed them to make a choice, allowed them to be involved in developing their destiny.....READING in all shapes and forms, whether as an audio book or an ebook is an empowering opportunity for us all! I still like the feel of a paperback in my hands though!
